Apple to release cheaper version of Iphone 4 within weeks. This news is also seen in GSM arena. Great news for people who do not want to pay outrageous price to get an Iphone 4. The difference is it will have 8 gb hence the cheaper price.

This means iphone 5 release is getting closer :clap:

Also I applaud Apple's move to provide cheaper option to people who couldn't buy the Iphone in the first place.

I bet it will be priced at Rs.25,000/- in India. We shall see more of "Its not an iPhone its not an iPhone" advertisements. The iPhone for the masses at 25k.
 
I assume it will be more around the tune of 20 k .similar to the iPhone 3GS which was launched.

Definitely not a budget phone as per our country is concerned but for 8 gig there has been talk of as low as 49$ on a 2 year contract which IMO seems very good.I guess this will end The lifecycle of the 3GS
 
8 megapixel is enough to state it wont be price less than 20k thats for sure.

Like honeypot.People will try to go for megapixel but they will forget 8 giga wont be enough for all stuffs.
 
What 8mp ? iPhone 4 has 5 mp !!

btw 8gigs not at all focking enough ! 16gigs is only not enough for me :-/
 
I am confused with Apple's strategy. Despite only having 8 gb of memory, having a 8 MP camera sounds like a upgrade. I do not know how they will sell it as a cheaper version. Last year when 3gs 8gb was released, that was identical to already existing 3gs with less memory. But this iphone 4 with 8gb but better camera :huh:

These are just rumours,you will know the exact specs only when apple makes an announcement,so no need of getting confused or anything :P
 
I think you guys are confusing between the iPhone 4S/5 and the 8GB budget iPhone 4 . The upgraded camera, bigger screen etc might be for the iPhone 4S/5 whereas the budget iPhone 4 will be nothing but a stripped down version of the current iPhone 4 , just like the 3GS 8GB available for 19.5k these days .
 
and also with 8MP it is iPhone 4S, not cheaper model. For, iPhone 4 8GB 20K is really nice price. But it's Apple, so they sell it at 25k.

iphone 4 is at the top among the smartphones in US and second number is occupied by 2 year old iphone 3gs .
 
Ok now it makes sense. Just like 3g/3gs, its going to be 4/4S. So 4S is an upgrade for people who cannot afford Iphone 5 while Iphone 4 8gb will be for people who cannot afford Iphone 4 16/32 gb version.
