But i asked a guy for coupon on ebay and he said he himselves was about to use it to buy same hdd which i was going for.....But now he heard from someone price will go lower soon

Is it true or just another rumour?

Want to know has anyone heard something...some real sense...?

HDD Prices are rising...
The price of 1TB Seagate/WD HDD have risen from 3.9k to 4.3k

Lol i guess i need to make decision fast now......More updates are welcome.....Btw as far as i know last time i enquired in local market 1tb price was 4.8k ...and at most i heard was within 4.3k...first time i m hearing it went to ard 3.9k
 
i dont know the exact prices but ya since last 7-8 months prices has gone up by Rs300 -400 based on what i have seen on ebay and S.P road bangalore
 
prices are rising due to high demand and limited supply.

If buying 1TB HDD, then get External one because difference is just few hundred rupees between the internal and external. external ones are more portable

At this point it makes sense to buy 1.5TB internal which can be brought on ebay at 5.5k.
 
Agree with Gaurish. Read a article that HDD makers didnt except recession to get over so soon. So the inventories are running low and stocks are not at levels at where they optimally should be.

So I dont expect a price cut in the short term.

In the last few weeks price of 1TB drive has gone up from 3900/- to 4350/- in delta peripherals chennai.
 
Hmm but locally i m getting hdd at 5.45k 1.5tb....

On ebay i missed the 15%(or max 750 coupon)..else would had got it for 5.18k...now waiting for that price......to grab it...

Btw what about budget will they help or price will be increased from that angle?

On the forum only i heard 9k i guess...did not paid any attention per gb price seemed higher
