Are u gettin the BW for wot u paying for..??

I ws thinkin casually wen this thing struck me ..

I am on a Dataone 500 HU plan .. (okay i kno it sux big time .. bt lets not get started.. )

I got the thing installed by the BSNL guy

I got the BSNL router

I got the BSNL phone lines..

all things said .. i opted to take the 256KBps speed as i wantd no hassles in surfing ..

Ever since i got this net thing installed .. i hardly can recall the instance , leave alone the Day.. wen i was riding on a 256kBps speed..

i got all the things from the authorised ppl .. nothing was done out of the 'Legitimate' way .. bt stil not gettin 256kBps 24 x 7 is a point well worth debating upon.

If i got everything done accordingly .. then its the duty of the ISP to provide me wid what i payed for ..

( point already made that evry single thing for the internet ws done by the BSNL ppl only .. i kno that the final BW depends on various factors.. bt i am concerned wid my end product .. and as all stuff is by the Real Mc Coy gang .. i shd be gettin it ..)

If they cant provide it wid 256.. then atleast they shd boost up the Bandwidth at their system so that the users get what they are paying for ..

Am i right or wrong here ..??

First of all its 256kbps... i.e. bits per second so it'll be around 30 kB/s. Are you getting that bandwidth?

wen i run a chek on the speedometer .. i never end up anywhere that mark .. which is a pity..
