Saw this interesting venn diagram today :

So, people who are into development/programming consider Windows users as losers ?

PS : Above pic fails to consider a point that Windows users could be Gamers too.

You can interchange it any way you want it to and it would still appeal to someone. Moreover, an OS is just a means to an end; it doesn't achieve anything by itself. You use OSs on varied devices such as your gaming consoles, mobile phones, tablets, car dashboards, GPS systems, and many more.

Someone who appreciates technology knows that such blatant generalisation of users is only made by a numbskull.

Every now and then you see different variations (in the titles) of the same diagram each trying to label themselves in a positive light and everyone else instead in a negative light. This one looks like it was made by Mac users, what with their vain labelling of themselves as "artsies", their sister OS (Linux) users as 'geeks' and Windows users as "losers".

Try not to take these seriously. You can find different diagrams labelling Windows users as 'gamers/versatile people', mac os users as 'hipster faggots' and Linux people as 'geeks'. Theres a Linux version as well but I don't remember that one.

Stupid to even give any importance to such diagrams. Some random website posts a thing and makes one clan feel superior and other inferior and people start fighting. Happens always with android and iOS.

Well said.

I worked on all major OS platforms, more in unix front.
It only matters what you know about the underlying OS and how it works. I saw some people afraid of Unix OS, because earlier it didn't have GUI. So it required good understanding of what you are doing. But now GUI is everywhere, which makes unix more friendly. You want to do something, there must be some GUI interface to do, you don't have to worry about which file you need to change, which daemon or service need to started, or how to edit files using vi etc.

But for techies who want to understand things, want to go inside there is no difference in windows, unix, mac, android etc

@avi
Where the hell do you find such kind of odd stuff man?

Anyways its a stupid diagram and I honestly dont think we have come to a point of time where we can really define the word "loser" on someone who we define as the main parameter being the operating system a person uses!
