I am planning to assemble a new gaming rig for my brother, based on intel i5 and Ati GPU. Lets try and keep it under 50k .Also Let me know about a good dealer in park Lane(Hyderabad).

1) What should be the best 24 inch screen under 15k?
2)Although i have decided for Ati gpu, suggestions are welcome for nvidia.

TN panels are the best for gaming. You can go for the Dell S2409W. Asus and BenQ have similar offerings but nothing beats Dell's after-sales support and warranty.

Which GPU you want to go for, completely depends on what are you gearing yourself up for. It will take Direct X 11 some time to mature. Unless you wish to jump onto the DX11 bandwagon, you can go for an ATi 4870/4890 or an Nvidia GTX 280/285. ATi has gone live with the 5770 and 5750 and the Indian dealers are already putting up their offerings on the same. Also, 5850 and 5870 are already available. The 5870 is available for 25K and looking at your budget, it would be an overkill.

Evaluate your priorities and channel the funds accordingly.

proccy. Intel Core i5 750 - 10.5k

M/B.Gigabyte P55 UD2 - 7k

Ram. Corsair 2GB DDR3 - 2.5k approx

HDD. Seagate 500GB 7200.12 - 2.5k

GPU. ATI Radeon HD5850 -17k

Optical Drive. Sony DVDRW - 1.2k

PSU. Corsair VX450 - 4k

Case. Coolermaster Elite334 -2.1k (not sure that 5850 will fit in..)

Monitor. Benq T2200HD - 8k

Mouse+Keyboard-Logitech Combo - 0.7k

Total 55.5k.

if you want something cheaper then get a 4890HD instead of 5850 you'll save around 4k.

so,Total will be - 51.5k

if you don't want to spend a penny more than 50k then

1)Get a Benq G2412HD LCD for 11k.

2)Get a Radeon 4870 for 9k.

Keep everything else same then Total will be 50.5k

Thanks naveen and cync for the info and price update. Somebody please suggest me a dealer which would give me these rates in park Lane(Hyderabad).
