Hey guys,

a good friend of mine wants to sell his ASUS EN7900GTX for 20K, its bought a year back from europe. he used it far less than i can imagine so never over clocked and anything. he bought it for 33k, don't think he would go down anymore:) .

so if anyones interested please let me know, and don't scam my thread with your ideas of 88xx series please, cuz the one who's gonna buy a 7900gtx would certainly know about 88xx series so PLEASE.:hap2:

not scamming but it's impt to put things in perspective... frankly, even a 8800GTS 320mb costs less than 20k brand new, and its performance is easily 20-30% faster than a 7900GTX... not to mention DX10-ready... so the price prob needs to be revised significantly lower...

VGA Charts 2007 | Tom's Hardware

as u can see ^^here the 7900GTX is right below the 8800gts 640mb, so only in extreme res like 1920*1200 the 8800gts perform well, and when AA is turned on the 7900gtx beats the 8800gts 320mb hands down.

thats why i said let people do their homework.

hi.

You are right- the 320mb 8800 does suffer a bit when AA is used at very high res. however the 640mb card doesn't suffer.

Anyway -- best of luck and bump

the chart you quoted failed to include the 8800GTS 320mb... only 640mb was used as comparison...

anyway, be it 7900GTX or 8800GTS 320mb, which is better will depend on the games you play... 8800GTS 320mb wins some (even with AA turned on at high res), 7900GTX wins some others... here's what i pulled off from Anandtech (AnandTech: Power Within Reach: NVIDIA's GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB

"Do their homework" seems good. I dont want to spoil this thread, but I think the "homework" needs to be done by someone else.

A XFX 7900GTX 512MB with Indian warranty, brand new, is available at far less price from what you have quoted. Somebody asked me for the price of 7 series card so I just checked yesterday.

Yours is a year old, with a foreign warranty!!

Hi guys, I've a XFX 7900GT 256Mb, it's not the basic version of the XFX card, an overclocked one, (520 core, 450 or 470 is base I guess), how much do u guys think I should ask for the card.
