Asus BIOS update query- Save/Reload bios settings

My system specs (also in my signature)
RYZEN 5 5600X
ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING

So I want to apply bios update to my mobo but I have done many bios tweaks and cant recall manually most of them as they were done almost 8-9 months ago.
I have saved bios profile and also saved as it externally as .CMO file on pen drive.

The issue is, have read that after updating BIOS, the older saved profiles fails to load due to BIOS version difference.

Can anyone confirm on this?
 
It really depends on manufactures and different models. It's always recommended to not save profiles and re-apply later even if that works.

My suggestion: Take pics of every section and apply those settings after updating and resetting your BIOS.
You can have issues in some rare cases when settings are kept as-is or reapplied via profiles.
 
I updated bios and it didnt recognized the saved profile giving error unsupported cpu.
But after the update reboot, it did prompted to reload last bios settings but it was fake as when I accepted and it rebooted no settings were changed and everything was stock as default!
