Graphic Cards Asus EAH 5450 not playing hd rips

hey guys,
i have bought a asus 5450 graphic card from lamington road 2 days ago.i generally bought it for playing hd rips mostly 720 p.but it seems its just cannot handle it.i tested it on a few rips[despicable me 720 p mkv] the screen gets choppy and it freezes.any chance i can improve this?

my rig is
dual core 2.80 ghz
windows 7 ultimate 32
4 gig ram
asus g41m combo

Also make a move to Win 7 X64 . Don't forget latest drivers as well.

even my onboard HD3300 handles full HD with ease. You might havnt chose the correct rendered in ur player.

i dont really understand mate.i use a vlc player.do i need to alter any settings or use another player?

My friend is also using the onboard HD3300,and it can handle 1080p hd,play in windows media player,or Media classic player from k-lite codec pack.

@OP: Use Mediaplayer Classic Home Cinema.

thanks for all your help guys.it seems the problem was the vlc player application.it works faultessly with mediaplayer.thank you

Seems the VLC was using some software renderer, and the CPU was making the video stutter at times. MPC with K lite codec makes full use of GPU, just make sure you set the right renderer on its options.

U can try KMplayer awesome player for HD found it one of the best i have used so far
