I called up ASUS a couple yesterday to enquire about the availability of the Santa Rosa lappys..
it turns out that they will have the ASUS G1S by the end of this month...
now the cool bit is that they are selling it at this special price for Rs 90,000 inclusive of all taxes et all..
they had supposedly put up a stall at ESWC in Mumbai recently and this price was extended as a special offer..and to avial this price all u have to do mail ASUS saying u were there at the ESWC and are interested in the G1S
I'm yet to receive the exact specifications for the laptop, but here is a rough list:
C2D 7300, 2.0 Ghz-800MHz FSB
1GB DDR2 667 MHz
160 GB SATA HDD
DVD Super Multi with Light Scribe

This is one of the hottest Santa Rosa laptops out there..and considering that these babies retail at $1900(INR 77520) on newegg, a price of 90k is very good given the fact that u get a 2 year on-site warranty. . .
