Laptops ASUS K53SM-SX010D....Not able to play Games At MAX settings...HELP!!

Asus K53SM-SX010D / 2nd Gen Ci5/4 GB/750 GB/2GB graphics DOS: Flipkart.com: Compare, Review Asus Notebook....

bought this laptop a few days ago.....the problem is that m not able to play games at maximum setting...even COD 4 lags at maximum settings...

Any help wud be appreciated!!

highest resolution[1366x768] and every other thing which is available in the video menu also set to high

Apart from resolution, lower all the settings to medium or low accordingly as 630M is not a powerful enough GPU to handle modern games at max. BTW do mention the FPS you're getting.

that means i wont be able to play even cod 4 at max settings>?

First tell how much FPS are you getting ? And make sure optimus is working.

Depends on the game you're trying to play. But COD4 should not lag at highest settings at 1366x768. Make sure you have updated nVidia drivers although the model is new and should already have the latest. Chk whether optimus is working and the dGPU is being used. Hope other things are being taken care of. Like, make sure you're running on AC supply, don't run any intensive tasks in the background and make sure you have some free space in your HDD.
[Even then, if you fall short of juice, try OCing by about 15% as cooling in this Asus is very good. ** NOT ADVISABLE ** though as you should not even need to do this]
