Asus Owners , General Build quality for Asus

Hello Bretheren,

Have finally figured a laptop within the stipulated budget of 36k , which will suit my needs as well as has decent config . Its ASus K53SC-SX536D

what I wish to know from Asus laptop owners is

1) How is general Build Quality of Asus laptops and

2) post sales support?

I will be using this one as a workhorse with moderate gaming and probably lot of travelling as well.

jUst a general overview of the Asus branded laptops. The general opinion of Asus laptop by the lamington road vecndors was not very encouraging, but I dont beleive their bull crap anyway...but still made me leery

I had finalized the same laptop, but later found that this model is now not specified on ASUS-India website (not sure whether it has been discontinued or not), so switched over to another model with the same configuration but in X series i.e .Asus X53SC-SX536D (intel i5 2.4GHz, 1GB Nvidia GT 520M, 4GB DDR3, 750GB HDD, USB3.0, HDMi port), which is available at 36.5k. Hey RKB ,

Already bought the the one that you mentioned I think I did a typo , its the same one with the same config as you mentioned

Its great piece.....i though the looks will be Plain jane....but its a show stealer with Gloss finish on the exterior but it doesnt attract finger prints. The Keypad area is aluminium brush finish which is scratch resistant

The only downer is you will have to install your own OS.
