ASUS RT-N13U B1 acting weird

Hi, I using ASUS RT-N13U B1 with static IP, when i connect my laptop to router I get full signal connected but the internet is not working sometimes it's work sometimes not. Even when I try to open router setting page it's stuck for 10 to 20 seconds and some time (Not all the time)at the bottom on wifi signal the yellow icon comes for no internet. I try to rest the router and again enter the settings but still issue remains same. I try to change the but nothing work. Please advised me what I suppose to do, it's very annoying. Any networking guru help me out plz.

I think you talking about the reset button at the back ? done if you telling this. Do you ever faced this type of problem. Is static IP creating the problem.

Shity Asus firmware, which OS you are using and you follow the dinjo tutorial for DD-WRT ?

^^Let me remind you, DD-WRT is billion times better than the Asus FW...BUT getting your external USB drive to work in DD-WRT is extreme PITA!!

hmm, I don't have much knowledge in networking, I saw the dinjo tut it's too long and also is their need of Linux to install the DD-WRT or I can do with Win 7 also.

You can do the flashing to DD WRT using W7. All you need is the ASUS software disc or you will have to download it from the net.

As far as the flashing, if you stay in Mumbai can help you out.

^^ Thanks a lot for your help bro. Unfortunately I'm from kanpur, Can your provide link for win tut. You are also using DD-WRT ?

I have to download Asus Utility and 2.0.2.0 firmware right ?

That's what happens when you don't read properly.If you want to stay with asus firmware start a support ticket wth asus
