Asus RT N13U or TPLink-TL-MR3420

TP-Link is Rs. 300 to 400 cheaper than Asus
Both Comes with 3years Warranty and 300Mbps
Both has DD-WRT Support

Please suggest which one to Buy ?

I would suggest you go for the Asus RT N13
While TP link router is cheaper but the DD WRT port for it doesn't support USB storage(external file system) on the MR3420[if that's a deciding factor],
while its supported on the Asus DD WRT port

Moreover the community is very much large for asus rt n13 as compared for the MR3240

If you looking for a router, with DD WRT support, hands down RT N13U
But if you are looking for a simple wifi router with 3g dongle support, i would suggest 3220 over 3420.
you can compare 3420 and 3220, only difference being N300 and N150 routers respectively and difference in signal strength and IMHO, n150 is more than enough even for streaming media over wifi.....correct me if m wrong guys.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks to All,

Buying to Learn about DD-WRT/ Tamoto/ OpenWrt + Best usage of USB Storage + Configure as Independent Downloading System etc.

TP-Link - MR3420 attracted its Anntanne, Not the Price.

Know I left with Asus 13U. Will wait for 2-3 days more. Once Again Thanks to All....

Single user, yes. Multiple users, it will struggle.

Stable for optware+transmission or stability in general. I am using DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/20/12) std (SVN revision 19519) and it was very stable for general use. I keep a separate device for torrents.

For optware + transmission. I think 18777 is a stable version and ofc the 1 on which dinjo has written the guide.dont know about others.heard optware gives problems on newer versions
