as many of you have read my plight here http://www.techenclave.com/forums/comp-problem-need-help-81540.html

i have once rmaed my board only 2 get it back,it didnt even post, thanks 2 adi i confirmed it on another proc and had a long talk with asus after which even after showin the asus guys ( i tested my mobo with asus' components at their headoffice)

they still made me give the board to the service centre yet again which i did on sat Dec 9,

today i was promised a new board and on trying to contact asus several times from my cell the guy doesent pickup my fone, instantly i went 2 pco and called and the call was picked up instantly.

however the person Mr Vishal was very unfriendly and started talking procedure BS, and he said so what if i had a high end board its jus a board and said puttin pressure on them 2 replace is no use it will take time.

i HATED theyre laid back approach to all this, moreover how could he even speak 2 me like this?

what can i do about this? if somebody from out here has any contacts with the media or techtree , kindly get in touch with me please, this isnt good and they need to be taught a lesson.
i am VERY mentally frustrated as they saying the board was ok made me wack the hell outta my brains 2 what else could be the problem with my rig for a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and nothing it was the mobo

i HATE ASUS:@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@

on every purchase recommendation thread Darky says buy a Asus as it's warranty service rocks :P

it surely makes it's customers Rock in Anger

I hate Asus too, kept my motherboard (Asus A8N-E) for a Month as it's onboard sound was not working & after a Month I still got a spoiled motherboard :@ :@ :@

Asus' Taiwan support itself has not been known to be particularly good to its customers. Considering that everything that goes on in India is at 35% efficiency at best, 35% of "passable" support is = ludicrous, mediocre support.

Asus sucks big, I have totaly given up on them, the last time I ever touch any of their products.

My K8v went bad, fuggers kept the board for 3 mths and then say, they dont have any replacements and are willing to reimburse the money. I thought why not I purchased the board for 6.5k in 2004. And guess what they are just willing to re-imburse 1000 bucks the a@#$oles, instead they give me a second hand k8v-mx.

I was quite tired by the whole ordeal, dint have the time to take the issue further, infact I had lodged a poilce complaint too in Lammy road...

Whoever said that buy stuff frm India, to get local warranty does not know what he is talkin abt. Nxt purchase is gonna be frm States, its easier to RMAit back to States then to avail of the local warranty.

is there anybody from the media here who could help us, i mean seriously quite an asus fan following here (*sarcastic*)

we need to post these somewhere to show we r still customers n they make money coz we PAY for it

anybody in any media who could help kindly come forward

^^ yeah.. esp if its asus product.... so wat if it costs lot more..atleast the mental torture is avoided..

even i wouldnt loook to buy any asus boards or anything that would make me go to the asus service center ..sheesh.....

i had the same experience as you soulfire... twice returned the board only to get it back in a non working condition.. which was then repaired by deejay for no cost atall...and only a few hours!!

shame on asus... sheesh

if nothing works out ill be going 2 meet the MD, he sits in the headoffice in Mumbai, any of you people wanna shed off some steam care to tag along ? pleasse let me know

maybe we could make this the screw asus thread :P

Asus sucks big time!!! I had a problem with my K8V last yr and after keeping the board fot abt 2 months and regularly following up i was promised a new K8V...but when i went there i found that the board was a refurbised board(the damm thing didnt even work there!!!)...its was one really frustating experince!!!!! i just wanted to kick the butts of all the guys at Digicom(bloody useless morons)...
And after all this they were offerin me a K8V-Mx board!! when i had told them i need 4 sata ports...i said gimme a nvidia based board but that didnt work...
I got in touch with Rashi were the distributors....spoke to them n got a K8N4-E Dlx buy paying 1k..

And i dont think i am gonna buy any Asus stuff in the near future...

Well i got my A8NSLI premium replaced by A8N32SLI deluxe within 15 to 20 days.

I did the homework by email and being very professional type though.
It somehow helped.

didnt help me.. everything was done by dad..he's pretty professional... now if you make a 47 year old man come to you, run around and then give bad service wat does that say abt asus? sheesh...

wrong thread chiccu

soul....try to ctct cnbc awaz ppl..its totally a consumer chnnel.....

+

its better to giv mobo for repair even in warranty rather than rmaing it...if u dont have 2nd rig for use...this rma stuff r bS..even my frndhad to waste 1motnh..and now he was xcited he gettin new board........and all....i told its all crap...they r old board and packed...andit provd his new asus board too screw up...again that idiot rmait.....

also i had a bad xperince with asus before.........which i posted when i was a newbie........i mailed asus india head..and that guy mails them check this guy problem thats it....my mail was against the attitude of rashi who r the service provider...and the head sayin them to check my problem thats all....also that guy asked my mobo number and now its already 17months old stuff still no mail.....its all bS...hw state in india is pathetic......

ASUS absolutely sucks when it comes to RMA in bbay, those ****ers in rashi specially the guy who diagnoses the problem with the mobo thinks as if he is GOD or something, he will take 2 hours just to diagnose whether there is some problem with the motherboard and also check whether it is physically damaged or not. And its always a long wait for us when it goes to the service centre, they take atleast 1 month to get it fixed. So it is mostly rashi's fault but even ASUS deserves to be taught a lesson if these kind of things continue or else we should boycott ASUS products until we get proper service in india for their products. After all no product is good without proper servicem that is what we are pay for. I have decided not to buy any asus motherboards until these issues are resolved because of personal experience. And im also ready to give a helping hand to people who wanna drag ASUS to the consumer court so that ASUS and Rashi both are taught a lesson.

Meeting the MD will not help. The MD is no different from the rest of them. Most of corporate India is basically lies, cheats, deceit and laziness anyway. The only way is to get some media attention along with photos of these b******s.

The workers of these companies care only about cutting working hours and doing minimal work, and not about customer satisfaction. These people can be easily taken to court for violation of Consumer Protection Act of 1986. Now, if someone is willing to take the time....

Why are you all crying ? I mean i can understand what all of you have been through...

Even though i love Asus,i have also had my fair share of this crap.

First of all, Asus itself doesnt handle te service, repair, replacement part in India atleast, the ones who do are complete jackasses.

Agreed, Asus shud be concerned.

Fact still remains, the market share Asus commands today has been the same way for many years. Many have tried and failed.

Most important aspect is that Asus launches all the latest models of their motherboard lineup very soon after its launched internatinally. No other manufacturer does that.So even though we get pissed and all, whenever we go to the market to get a new High End Mobo for our Upgrades, what choice do we have ? Sad but true, Asus.

@ Soulfire,

Man i can understand what you are going through, but i had to wait 2 months before my A8N32 SLI was replaced. Also at that time that board was the TOL board, but trust me, high end or low end, these guys dont care.....

Well thats about it.Howmuchever you hate it, thats the situation and the reality.

Point is not everybody has very good contact with delares/distris...so for ordianry peps it becomes very diff in Service centers

Hmmm.....if u have some good healthy frends...tag them along.....go to the asus office & create some fracas there for a day or two. Create some noise & some explectives....for me it worked in case of Canon India Office @ Guwahati....more the soft....more lazy they become.

In India it works either in two ways...FORCE or connection. If u don't know anyone in Asus....try the other way arnd.

Well for me Rashi (in Guwahati) where I used to purchase when I was in college was not a prob at all....as I knew the manager there.....generally got replacements within a week at max...sometime even same day.

And Believe me in one thing....ASUS is not the worst.....One Intel Desktop Board(D865GBF ) of my frend which I only bought for him died...and believe I have got the refund after some 100 mails( a petty 30% of original price).

I am not supporting ASUS or anything...but in mobo replacemnt almost every brand takes quite a long time(at least 2-3 weeks) whereas in case of HDDs its almost instant sometimes over the counter.

I have been pissed of such situations ....thats why I believe in scrweing up a device once in a while just to screw the bloody looters....its damn easy...flash firmware.....power off in middle.....killed so many graphics cards like that....ha ha(dont attack me for this......even if u people do I don't care). recently did this to my Tsonic 1 GB as it was so slow in transferring.....screwed firmware.....the distri was not ready giving a new replacement(gave me a backup piece for 2 days...which i insisited)...on the 3rd day I went & brought a complete new box...I know I am mis using the warranty...but thats how it should be done...What say guyz.

And to gain media attentions....best way is to contact local CNBC Awaz office....they help a lot...sometime even to the xtent of coming with u to the concerned place....so give it it a try @ last if u want to

lastly----On TE we see people arranging for so many GO for ASUS boards nd all frm Rashi only.....so surely some people have contacts......so r those only for buying purposes only guys?If its like that...then its sad..very very sad

After one and half months till now i m waiting for my A8N-E board.They told me that A8N-E is out of production promised me to give new K8N board(socket 754:huh: ) instead of 939 socket A8N-E.ASUS sucks :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@ :@

Well this sucks but this is nothing new. From last year, even ASUS is taking long time for repairs/replacement. 3-4 weeks is usual time table. And honestly none of the board makers go for straight replacement here. They will try to get the board repaired and if they cant then they will go for replacement. Thats how things are as of now.

Its real shame that the time required for this process is soo long. The only way to get quick replacement is to have connections or a good dealer.

Till date i have never gone directly to any hardware manufacturer for the replacement. So even though i know my dealer charges me more than some other dealers the ASS that is provided is exceptionally good.

Let me know who promised new board to you yesterday and i will see what i can do.

@regenade2 : sorry dude but at least in Mumbai the power show wont work. What makes you think these people are in this vastly networked business and still running it?? They have more heavy guys if needed that we do ;)

And honestly i advice anyone against doing such stupid thing. Be polite as long as you can.

Vishal M is the guy who promised me a new board and he is from Asus, the digicomp guys are quite frankly useless and say nothing is in our hands ,we r here only for namesake.

i wanna make a public show of this coz asus did a public thingy and promised faster replacements which isnt happening

p.s.s wuts the contact for cnbc awaz

This thread makes me feel i should be glad i got my gigabyte ds3 replacement in "just" a week...sheesh.

Soulfire : See if Amit Jaokar still works at asus, and get me his no if possible. Pass me the no. and let me speak to him
