ASUS Eee PC 1000(H)
well friends there is finally good news from ASUS that its gonna Launch 9 and 10 inches Eee PC this month.
here is the Technical specs of Eee PC 1000(H): ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
Its based on Intel new ATOM proC based Platform.
You can boost the Speed from 1.2ghz to 1.8ghz as per you requirement.
This little devil has got
  • intel atom1.8ghz proC,80Gb HDDBluetooth,Wi-fi,2 in 1 card reader,1.3 megapixel web cam and amazing battery life upto 7 hrs,weight just 1.45hg
All earlier feature like ASUS Express gate etc are still there in this version too
most good part its will come with original Windows XP license copy installed. it means that you can Download all the updates without worrying about the Windows verification jhol !!
hmmmm pricing will be around same as US around 25-28k
I have personally seen one Demo unit and its really worth .
here are few reviews on the Eee PC 1000(H):ASUS Eee PC 1000h Review

hmm...hope they gave a provision to omit window$ XP. that itself save the money :D . yeah ,I am all for GNU/Linux and also eagerly waiting for atom processor powered EEE PC .

too expensive :( only applicable to business tracvellers who need a really really light machine and wanna spend less. For everyone else (students etc), this is already ~700$ ~ 28k. just put in another 6-7 k and get a full fledged 35k 14" dell laptop na. for such a small diff doesnt make sense.

something like 22k would be a sweet spot. Any higher and its competing with much better performing laptops.

dude infact no student want to spend that much amount to get normal lappy just for education purpose.laptop toh ek bahana hai.
If thats the case GO in for Dell XPS series or ASUS G2 laptops etc.
this devil falls totally into other segment so please don't compare it with dell entry level laptops etc.
what can you expect at price range of 25k?? huh
well its is coming with linux based version too .so that might be cheap
lower end Model will include 20gb HDD as per your requirement.
And yes i will try to Get best deal on it too :P
