I was searching for the Asus Wireless Router WL-520gu for a long time to make a NAS as well as a low power download station :) as listed in the TE thread below :

Only way was through KMD (through newegg 45$) as it was not available locally.
But I didn't wanted as routers go kaput due to surges and stuff....and the asus warranty of 3 years on the routers is just too good.

Anyways to cut the story short, got hold of the info from an ASUS distri that this can be arranged locally with full 3 years warranty at a good price.

So please let me know whoever is interested in this. I will post a concrete pricing on this once I get confirmation from the contact. But as of now I am sure it will be below 2.7k or so. Final prices will be based on numbers that we order and how the contact reacts :P

Asus WL-520gu is compatible with DD-WRT/Tomato/Tomato ND USB/OLEG/Open-WRT 3rd party routers. The USB port supports even 3G HSPA modems and can be used as a high speed 3G Wireless Router

Install DD-WRT with USB support on the WL-520gU (wl520gu)

The antenna on this router is removable one with SMA connector, so you can always connect a high power 8dBi antenna and get huge range :)

I have got the pricing for 10 nos. It will be 2.5k + 4% VAT = 2600/- all inclusive. The unit will be boxed and in sealed condition and will carry 3 years local warranty from Asus India. A copy of bill will be included for every purchase.

Shipping will be as per actuals via DTDC Air depending on location. Local Bangalore members can collect it from me directly.

Dont need one but would recommend it to everybody.

Supra, try getting prices for 500gP as well, would be a better buy if price difference isnt much.
 
^^ 500 gp is double the price of a 520gu...so of course there will be much diff in price.

^^ No drivers as of now for ZTE AC8710 or the likes....but since Linux drives are avaialble it shouldn't take much time :)

Please give answer in Yes/No - Can I use Utorrent & connect ext HDD to download ?

Whats difference b/w Asus WL-520gU & ASUS WL-500gW ?
