AMD/ATI have released their latest set of video card drivers for the ATI Radeon line of video cards. New 32 and 64-bit drivers are available for Windows XP. Note that the .NET framework (1.x or 2.0) is required if you want to run these drivers with the Catalyst Control Center.
New Features
This release of the ATI Catalystâ„¢ Software Suite includes Crossfireâ„¢ enhancements that enable the Alternate Frame Rendering (AFR) Crossfire rendering mode by default so that users will see significant performance benefits across all AFR compatible applications immediately (including newly released applications, so users do not have to wait for a future ATI Catalystâ„¢ release to add Crossfireâ„¢ support for newly released titles). Future ATI Catalystâ„¢ releases will add further Crossfireâ„¢ performance gains once new applications have been profiled specifically for Crossfireâ„¢.
