Audio Audio Streaming from Bluetooth dongle to Bluetooth Headset

Hi,

I was planning to buy a headphone to listen to music from my laptop, then I realised that I already have a bluetooth headset that I generally pair up with my mobile phone, is it possible to stram audio from my laptop through a bluetooth dongle to my blue tooth headset?

I believe you should be able to do that, but I think you might need 3rd Party software (Blue Soliel ?) to do that. This is assuming your headset is using the standard bluetooth A2DP profile.

The question is, do you really want to be doing that ? Almost all mobile headsets are built with one application in mind: voice transmission. Music reproduction wouldn't have been a consideration in most cases.

If you're looking for good sound quality, you should be looking for good headphones. If sound quality isn't that important to you, or if you aren't interested in shelling out any more moolah, then go with your bluetooth headsets.

I know by theory it should wotk but just wanted to know whether any one has used it before.
