Car & Bike Audio System for Car

I am looking for a decent audio setup for the i10. It has all four door mounted speakers and can take only 6" ones. My budget is around 20-25k. If possible I am looking for a sub as well. Also if possible I am looking for iPod/iPhone input.

Where in Bangalore should I go to get this and what should I get?

I realise that this is an unusual post for Audio Zone. :bleh:
 
HU - Kenwood 6539 (if you can find it i.e.) or 5539 = INR 6-9k

Front components - Illusion Electra/Bull Audio = INR 7k/4.5k

Sub - Ground Zero 30T = INR 7.5k

Amp - Blau GT4 Special MKII = INR 5.5k

Wiring - Good 8 AWG wiring kit = INR 3k

Install = INR 1-2k

Oops, budget overshot.....But you get the drift na?

Basically, you have to audition each and everything, and in the same car. Dont go by the installer's words or hearsay. Decide what suits your taste of music the best.

Check out Satya (BlueRaven) on TBHP. He runs a shop called Evo. Go there and you are all set.

A decent HU like the Pio 5050/6050/4190 along with a pair of decent Components in the front like the Illusion Electra 6.1 with a decent sub in the enclosure and a 4 channel amp maybe a JBL or a Blaupunkt. This would set you back by 25-30K.
 
bull has a sub too. the driver costs 4.5k, and the box should come to ~2k

for the amp, I'd nominate a kenwood KAC 8401

any idea who sells bull speakers in b'lore ?
 
Evo had it last time i checked. The price of the BUull components has increased tho, was 5.5k last time i checked. And the Kenwood 6539 was 9.5k. Not sure abt the 5539 but i think 7.5k. All these prices are with B&W
 
Yep thats the address. As for a landmark Its very near faps. Its on the road parallel to the Marry Brown road, ie when ur coming from Indiranagar towards faps its on the road which leads you to faps. Hope thats clear enough :p
 
Went to EVO, got it done!! Here is what I have right now:

Kenwood MP6043

JBL GT5 S265C Components for the front

JBL GT5 S265 Coaxial for the rear

JBL GT5 S422 2 Ch Amp

JBL GT5 S12 12" Sub in a Sealed box

Been using the iPhone for input and it is awesome!! Been having too much fun.

Total damages: 25k
 
i would have recommended GTO 608C's(only marginally a bit more expensive) in front. those GT5's are the cheapest comps available these days :p

Satya didn't have them on hand, so he put in what he had, let me see if I can persuade him for an exchange.

Only thing was that Satya suggested the JL audio upgrade. Mine was a resolution setup and he says that the GTOs are not very well suited to that. He suggested an upgrade path through Bostons @2.5k up or the JL with 4k up, so I took the JLs. Upgraded the rears as well to properly mix and match. :)

Yeah it was for the sub only but I changed that last Saturday.

The full setup now looks like:

Kenwood MP6043U Head Unit
JL Audio TR650-CSi Component Speakers for front
Boston Acoustics S55 Coaxials for rear
JBL GT5 S12 Subwoofer
Infinity Reference 475a 4 channel Amplifier ( India JBL )
