Will shift once, the extensions that I use with firefox gets ported to Chrome. till then, firefox rocks.

Btw, The xcd style comic strip is cool; Google never fails to surprise

im getting a sense of deja vu... isnt this like months old news? i have been running chrome on linux (ok - dev version)... plus i recall xkcd-like comic explaining the browser when it was first announced way back when on windows... :)

Chrome is slick and good but needs some time before its more polished :)

I feel linux chrome should have more features going forward compared to windoze ver since the Chromium OS is based of this ;)

proxy setting execptions does not work properly.

even worse it does not accepts regexs like firefox.

Did anyone succed in this?

Slightly OT: I'm confused why everyone (including goog) is calling an OS with just their Chrome browser 'Chrome OS'.

If it is an OS, why is it running on another OS (linux)?
And if it is an OS then shouldn't goog be giving customers the ability to choose their browser i.e. Firefox / IE / Opera etc. (since MS is being forced to do the same on Windows)? Or is goog waiting for an anti-trust case before doing so?

^^Linux is not OS :P Its Gnu/Linux that makes an Os .Linux is just the base of the OS i.e. Kernel which thrives the OS :P

Using Linux as the base saves million of Google, also the outstanding development in Linux git make sure that Chrome runs with much less effort, all google needs to do is improve Kernel and implement their tweaks here and there in Chrome :P Ofcourse they are on publicity bandwagon :P

Then they should be calling it just another distro (just like the several others).

I didn't think goog would go about with such a cheap publicity stunt. Disappointing.

Also shouldn't they give users the choice of their own browser?

Linux is the only OS not GNU/Linux.
Kernel as we speak for Linux kernel is the OS.

GNU/Linux what FSF advocates call it is the whole thing and includes OS + user space applications.
