:Hi: guys.......

I had seen the thread abt the avatars size been increased frm 80x80 to 100x100 tats a good suggestion.....:)

But unfortunately I could not vote nor post my comment & suggestion in it coz it has been closed.....:( :(

I would like to add one more sugestion to .....;)

How abt Animated gifs....within the permitted limits...???:huh: :huh:

Actually my avatar was an animated one but it shows only an image.......:@ :@ .....which had really disheartned me.....

Actually I had discussed this with RAHUL(Gallery Mod) & he told that this suggestion is in the pipeline and is been discussed....
So TE Members wat u think abt this suggestion.....???:huh: :huh:
 
animated avatars do work.. but i guess if the image is larger than 80*80 the auto resize hack kicks in and the animation is lost after that
 
^^ yep.. as long as the dimensions and the total size doesnt exceed the limits, the animated avatars work fine

very few animated avatars exist at 80x80.
 
Hey guys can u suggest me a gif image resizer that would reduce the size of say a 144x100 gif image to 80x80 size.......

PS : All my avatars are resized at Gifworks, and ofcourse bottle was right about the gif not working if resized by TE, so resize them first to 80*80 and then upload to TE and all would be fine.

Are you trying to imply that there are tons of animated avatars at 100x100? :huh: Thats not logical reasoning mate, there's plenty of software out there to resize your avatars to 80x80. Dip has provided an excellent link, I myself personally used GIFworks for an avatar I had before and it worked fine !

Kudos to bottle also for pointing out correctly that the animation is lost owing to the automatic resizing function when you upload GIF's.

P.s: For members having such difficulty locating the 'rare' 80 x 80 'animated' super-bling avatars, perhaps we can start a thread and share some links ;)
 
I have a suggestion...

for 2 days.... ONLY 2 days, all you mods, admins, take a break. Let other certain people who want "improvements" manage the site.

Let us see what happens then. Some people just dont seem to get the fact that they are being simply too demanding. They are getting a good forum with good members and so many features(rig gallery, gallery, arcade, etc...etc..) and they are still not satisfied......

Enough of these discussions. We the members have made our views clear that we would like bigger avatars and siggies. Why the heck dont some guys leave it at that??

The admins and mods have said they will look into the matter. they manage this site. They have politely told you to get lost and shut up after you have all had your say. Try to get the message. upto the admins now......

exactly....... some people dont know where to draw the line. As members we can ask for some new features..... but cummon guys.....

This is not a site that is sponsored by anyone. No one who works on this site gets paid.....
 
IF we let you guys handle everything for even a day we might die of heartattack.
As for your suggestions, they have been noted and discussed. So lets end the avatar discussions and protests. However keep this in mind that this is not a graphics designing forum or something.

AND You already have the option of animated avatars.
