AWS certifications

red-devil

Disciple
I work as a developer for one of the desi companies (basically maintenance stuff) and it's been a while that I've been doing this same crap. I was wondering if a change in scenery would help me get out of this routine.

One of my friends was pushing me to take up one of the AWS certification, insisting that the certificate will open up opportunities with better pay package. I figure it's good to at least give it a shot and if getting certified means more salary, then why not :)

So as someone who is a developer with about 6-8 years of "experience", what kind of certifications are considered "good to have" - AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer? I don't think DevOps is the way I want to go but if the opportunities and pay is more in the DevOps world, then I could give that a shot too.
