Hey...

it started like this... Crap-tel gave me absurd reason that i can't have my plan migrated to 4Mbps or even get a 75GB limit to my existing 2mbps plan cause of FEASIBLITY issue
<
. On my quest to find a better ISP.... i stumbled upon this :

http://bbnl.co.in/

Tariffs :

1Mbps Unlimited @ Rs/- 600 PM.

10Mbps Unlimited @ Rs/- 1000 PM.

Sorry if this was already posted .

BBNL has its flyers stuck to every tree in my locality
<
<
.Never bothered to check with them even though i hate fail-tel,these small time players use over head cables and BESCOM folks come to my locality every fortnightly and cut all the unauthorized cables. Had tough time with some local operator 2 years back.

Will check if any of my neighbours are using it and revert back to you soon. PM me incase i do not get back to u.

#hector19 check if ACT broadband is available in your locality have heard good about their service. There is a dedicated thread in TE somewhere.

^ Yes.. though the adverstised plans may be good, the problem with these ISP's is the reliability, they have wires hanging from trees, street light poles etc exposed to the elements, i had a hotwire/sify connection in Delhi which used to go down every time it rained.

Dont know why the Govt. doesnt unbundle the local loop so that these ISP's can use BSNL/MTNL infrastructure to provide services

Hi,

I live in Sanjaynagar and Am using BBNL from past year and half
<
!! Threw the BSNL lousy connection and went for this and I have to say I have not regretted the decision ever since
<
!! Infact Am very very happy with the service and will recommend it over other any day !

They are very friendly people and will attend to your complaints speedily ! In all of this time I've had max of say 1hr outage due to optic cable cut, else if they are doing any maintaince they will SMS you and inform you before hand !!

So overall Am very satisfied

!!!

I am sure this is with FUP. India isn't that mature to get 10mbps ul at Rs.1000

No FUP's mate,Unless more and more people start downlaoding Tb's together I don't see these guys bringing in any FUP's !

I have personally done about 500Gb in one month just to test the "TRUE UNLIMITED" status and it worked,No speed drops no nothing !!

Regards.

I live in Rajajinagar .

Still Reliance has not replied to my calls or the Mails

Sorry for bumping an old thread. Need some info from anybody who has opted for this connection.

1. Do you need to login to connect to the internet? Is it like Reliance where you have to enter your username and password every few hours or is it like Airtel?
2. How are the pings? Plan to do a bit of online gaming.
3. How do you pay the bill? Online or cash?
4. Can we connect a wifi router to the modem they provide?
5. Any ports blocked?

I have used BBNL at my friends place, so can answer some questions:

1. No login required.
2. Dont know.
3. My friend pays by cash, the BBNL guys come and collect it.
4. Didnt check the exact modem or router config but he had wifi, so the normal wifi router should work, better to ask BBNL guys.
5. Dont know about ports but the connection was not as stable as airtel, bsnl as there was some disconnections/ less response time etc daily.

Cant answer any more questions until i visit his place next time as he is least bothered about such details and uses the connection only for emails, facebook, youtube.
