Intel NUC Kit NUC8i3BEH ~18k
Any 250 gb SATA ssd ~ 2.5k
Crucial 8 gb ram ~ 2.2k

Total ~ 22.7k

You can also go for much faster Kingston A2000 250 gb NVMe ssd for ~3.3k and 2x8 gb Crucial ram for 4.4k

Total ~ 25.7k

~25k
i3 10100
Asus H410M E
8GB DDR4 2666mhz
Kingston A2000 250GB
MWE 450 Bronze V2
Generic Cabinet
i3 10100 cpu power is almost same as i3 8109U cpu power in single core. In multi core it's double as it's 4 core vs 2 core. However, iGPU power of i3 10100 is only half of i3 8109U.
So it depends what is more important? CPU or GPU power?

With conventional desktop you get upgrade path while NUC there is none but it's much much smaller form factor. Another choice to be made.

@PoBoy : Thank man.
@Parv: Actually I do not need this system for gaming...so the i3 10100 is more attractive to me for the purpose of this build :). Thank you for the detailed explanation. Much appreciated.

For your intended uses, I don't think any modern iGPU will struggle to deliver. I'd suggest go for more CPU capabilities as you can add on a discrete GPU later if needed.

If SFF is not a consideration, go with a modular build for ease of upgrades.

I think you are referring to OP. I'm not OP.

I have another thread regarding similar PC but I'm specifically looking at SFF.
