PC Peripherals Benq 1640 review

Heh.. I get them from here actually, lemme get back from Gurgaon, I'll be getting a 1640 and some combo drives as well. I'll post some reviews in July.

Yep. No biggie, I can confirm drive availability in Mumbai for ~3800-3900 or so. My review sample has reached my house.. ;)
 
Yup...Appolyn too got this 1 nd had posted results.....
Think this is the best choice for DVD-Writers now.

Can some one give me the exact contacts where i can get the Benq DW1640 in Mumbai.
Also do they give full 2yrs warranty on this drive.
As all benq drives have 2 yrs warranty.
 
Hey Techy, me an Apo got
LG GSA 4163B today.
Looks like its a better drive for burning -R media
I have around 100 -R discs,have to finish them fast as i have to get those new 8X ones...hehehhe

ANyways, anyway i can burn the MBI -R 4X media on the LG @ faster speeds ?
Any modded firmwares ?

Nope. LG FWs are well encrypted, but MCSE might help. Apo knows how to use it, but I've been off CDFreaks for the last month, so I don't know the latest developments on MCSE..

EDIT: http://ala42.cdfreaks.com/MCSE/ ... support for the 4163B is there. You can mod the A104 FW for faster speeds..
