hi guys,

does anyone here knows what's the warranty policy (no. of dead pixels, etc.) of Benq for monitors. i have visited their website but the warranty page is not working. I also contacted their cc but the guys at the other had no clue what i was talking about. Please help. I am gonna buy 24" monitor today.

they have 3yr onsite warranty..

pixel policy is

10 dead pixel = replacement.

had a DOA case so applied for warranty.

their technician came the very next day to check the dead pixel.

there was only one, he took pics to confirm with seniors about whether i can get it replaced for 1 dead pixel.

they suggested me to get it done from the vendor as it was case of DOA.

got it done from the vendor.

so how did u check the dead pixel ?? is it clearly visible on the screen
it is a pixel which remains in one state all the time (that is, when the display is ON)

it will be always ON (always white)

i guess this is something one can clearly see.

there are methods to remove dead pixel but no 100% working method that is known.

one can always try.

I highly recommend using DPT (Dead Pixel Tester). It now comes in a version that can be carried on a USB. Last weekend I took this to Prime abgb and tested a couple of monitors before buying. The first one I tested had a stuck pixel.
