I would like to know idle and best possible air flow arrangement with the help of fans in any cabinet. At what all positions like front generally has intake and rear is out, etc ? What CFM and size ?

Also if there are some things to be taken care of ensuring flow is not hampered in the case.

2 front intake 120mm/140mm fans & 2 top exhaust 120mm/140mm fans.
1 rear exhaust fan. Normally I use LED fans from Cooler Master & Antec.

You can have either +ve air flow (more air in than air out) or -ve air flow (more air out than in). +ve flow helps keep the cabinet clean from inside whereas -ve flow provides better cooling. There should be at least one fan blowing directly on CPU cooler and GPU and one fan directly sucking the hot air released by CPU cooler. Front fans work really well for cooling HDD and RAMs.

Currently I have one front in which cools HDDs, top in which feeds air for CPU cooler, one side exhaust to suck out GPUs hot air and one rear exhaust to throw out CPU coolers hot air. CPU cooler too has a fan which is in direction same as rear.
