Best blackberry plan for me?

Hi friends i would like to buy a cheap blackberry phone as my second phone.
I prefer it bcoz of its great keyboard and optical trackpad.So my question is that what is the best blackberry service plan for me.

My needs are



  1. Social network update
  2. Instant messaging like Gtalk,msn yahoo
  3. If possible Email notification also


So please tell which is the best plan(cheapest plan) for me and i don't mind carrier thanks to MNP

I don't need Black berry Messaging bcoz my friends don't use that so wats purpose of it

Please get your doubts cleared
1 - No matter what plan you activate, BBM gets activated by default, your only option is don't use it ;)
2 - Social Network updates need a higher variant plan (read below)
3 - By default, any Blackberry plan has email alerts :)

Blackberry does not run on your traditional GPRS plans, needs a special plan. SO don't activate some 99 rupees 2 GB Plan coz it won't work :p

There are 2 Blackberry plans in Loop Mobile (Am using Loop Mobile Prepaid + BB 9780 since Mid 2011, I don't know of other service providers)
Plan 1 is 199/- per month (which I use), you get instant emails for 10 email accounts, gtalk, yahoo chat, msn and BBM messenger. You cannot browse the internet with this plan nor can you check twitter or FB updates.

Plan 2 is I think 399? (never used that plan so don't know the costs) per month, which has all of Plan 1 + unlimited browsing and FB stuff

There are also daily chargeable plans like 10 bucks a day etc., better contact your telephone operator and check with them, if you need excellent service and speed use Vodafone and if you need cheapest solution use Loop.

There is no "Excellent and Cheapest" service provider, so please don't ask.

Also please do mention your location as plans vary from location to location. Also some operators do not provide services in some locations such as loop - Mumbai only.

Oops, his location is Kerela so Loop is useless heh
But do note BB plans cost more compared to your regular internet plans
