Best Entry Level Android phone under 7k

Hi Guys,
Looking to buy an android phone for basic usage. On a really tight string budget under 6 or 7k max. I guess below this range there is no point going for a touch screen right ? Brand not an issue. will be upgrading to a better device in a few months.
My current basic phone has grown a brain of its own ! Please suggest some good powerful phones. Android because really luv to try all the apps.

Not a single semi decent Android will come in your budget(not even in twice your budget!)
Why dont you try something different and find a web os based phone(the os is dead,but really nice!!)

hm i agree sir, but still that lust for android...how's samsung galaxy y. or may be some LG model with a decent 800 mhz and 512 ram should be enough for
music, email and basic stuff.

What about HTC explorer?
Please dont get web os. Its dead slow and moreover palm devices develop hardware(screen) related issues very early.
Htc explorer is vfm phone. Try it and then decide.

Thanks for all your suggestions...HTC Explorer seems everybody's fav...is samsung galaxy y not a good option ? if some one could please point the negative points for galaxy y
wife's got a wave 2 ..the bada os sucks big time ..its slow and low on apps and free games.

Galaxy Y: slow processor, less ram, small display, low resolution, poor camera (explorer's cam is not great).
Explorer: locked bootloader, less internal memory, less service center compared to samsung, less DEV support (compared to Y).
