PC Peripherals Best Fan for use with ThermalRight XP90C

Hi Guys

Your suggestion is required.

First confirm if i can use XP90C on this.
I am thinking of getting a XP90C for my AMD 3500+ Venice
Wanted to use it on ASUS A8N Sli Delux or Premium.

As you all know XP90C doesnt come with a fan suggest me a less noise
fan which will fit on the XP90c and cool the cpu to atleast a 40-50Degree C.

Doesnt matter even if the fan is available in US ,
Do let me know the fan with proper details.

Plz dont ask me how i am getting this.

Thanks

Thanks Rave

So its the "Thermaltake 92mm Blue LED Smart Fan " looks gr8
and Sound is ok 48.5 dB at 4800 rpm

Loved the blue LEDs

But will this fit on my above mentioned configs

Any more suggestions are welcome

Me using a thermaltake smartblue 92mm on XP90. Awesome fan. Finally have my rig up with DFI lanparty and have put AS5 on the proccy. Load temps in a non ac room (right now its peak summer) is around 39 :D and idle is 35 with fan at 3500 rpm and almost inaudible inside my wavemaster.

nest part about this is that it comes with a FAN controller, so dont like the sound? lower the throttle ;)

and yes, those LEDs doo look cool :D

Well then XP90C with Thermaltake smartblue 92mm is a gr8 combo.
And i do have a AC in my house so can run at 3500rpm.

But wanted to ask can i turn of those Blue LED's as currently i will not be having a
transparent side panel to show off.

I am getting a Antec 3700BQE or AMB cabby

Nope... no way to turn those leds off. BTW make sure u use AS5. Earlier with normal thermal paste, my idles were 44 or so and underload it was 50. Now its down to the temps i've mentioned above courtesy AS5 and some better cable management.

a simple mod will do the job ;)

i did the same on my trilight LED fan. there's a switch, u turn it on, LEDs turn on. turn off, LEDs off. But the fan keeps spinning even if the LEDs are off....its with masky now ;)

@Chaos - well i will be getting a AS5 nodoubt about it at all.
and regarding the cable management i have read a few articles on how to
keep the internals of the case by proper winding up wires inside.
will it allow me lower temps upto 40 at max load.
I will be satisfied with it.

@ Sunny - Will you help me with the MOD Sunny i wil be thankful to you
will let you know when i get my new rig.

also wanted to know what are these tornado blowers - special noisy side fans

sure :cool2:

tornado fans arent blowers....blowers are those squirrel cage type fans. they dont have CFM rating, but deliver low CFM air at a very high pressure...that makes efficient cooling at low CFMs....

they're just a breed of super high CFM fans... the 92mm Vantec Tornado delivers 119cfm!!! but at a verrry noisy 60db :P the 80mm fan delivers about 85cfm IIRC

@Chaos ----- Where are you from??? In B'lore, it is pretty hot when the avg temp during daytime is 32 deg C. My Load temps with TT Smart LED Fan(120mm) is around 50deg C. I am using AS5.

Is it true, that AS5 works best after 2 weeks or so???? How am I getting such high temps??? And this is with cabinet open.

Guys, I just bought my Antec 3700, Metallic Grey, not sure whether it is BQE or AMB ;)

The finish is something I have never seen in my life before. The paintjob is awesome !

I ordered an extra 120mm fan from Antec and those buggers come with dust covers !

The attention to detail is marvellous and I installed everything with utmost ease. Thumb screws, removable drive cages et al are just stunning.

Bought it for 5050, 4 times the prices of a ATX cabinet but it rocks. The 350W smart power has two fans in it, and the 2 120mm fans are huge powerful (1800 RPM) and quiet !

Rocks ! Just go for it Quad !

Does low CFM mean low noise
also whats CFM stand for.

Any suggestion for fan that could be better than TT , doesnt matter if it
doesnt have a LED i want more cooling at less noise

CFM stands for Cubic Feet per Minute. Its the amount of air a fan pushes.

heh..a better idea. Stick with ur LED fan get ur sidepanel modded. Much better ;)

I'm in bbay. Ambient temps are around 35 here. Until yday, even I was getting around 50 load. I got a new mobo, fixed my cable management, put AS5 instead of grey goo and lo the temps went down to the low 30s :D

A tornado is better but lot noisier. If you want the best noise to performance ratio, go for panaflo medium/high speed 92mm.

Will panflo provide better cooling than TT Smart LED still lower noise than TT at maxspeed.
i want a high speed only also wanted to ask you whats the maxdb of Panflo.
does it come with thermal monitoring diode to adjust speed automatically.
and also with a speed regulator.

Generally panasonic's noise and cfm ratings are more trustable than thermaltake. The panaflo ultra speed will be as good as the thermaltake and less noisier. If you really dont care abt noise, get a delta or vantec tornado.

Noise is a problem then why wud in the first case wud have i got a XP90C.

wudnt i got a ASUS Star Ice cooler better than XP90C cooling is the best and bugging
you with that noise at 60db ;)

Well its seems Panflo and TT Smart LED are the 2 choices now

Does panflow have this
- thermal monitoring diode to adjust speed automatically.
- speed regulator.
