Monitors Best monitor for 7-8K

Hi guys,

I am planning to replace my old CRT with a new LCD. But I dont have any idea about brands, spec ,etc.

I would like to know what are my options at this range. I will mainly use this for gaming.

Any help would be appreciated.

BTW is SAMSUNG SyncMasterâ„¢ 54.61cm (21.5) wide screen monitor any good?
 
Thx for all the suggestions. You guys have helped me to narrow my options down to 2 - Samsung 2033 and Dell E1909. :hap2:

I have another question. One of my friends is in USA right now. Would it be prudent to get it from there ? My main concern is warranty validity (in India) and
the expected price difference .
 
Get Benq G900WD :) 19' monitor(1440x900) with DVI for 6.5K. The screen is same as that of Samsung or maybe even better :cool2:
 
my local dealer quoted 7450 for 2033,
deal has exchange of my 5 year old CRT for 950
and 4 month old iball SMPS for 500 (bought same from him for 550).

should i go ahead with deal?
 
iball smps costs 650 now...

bt price offered by him is good enough.

old CRTs sell around around 1.5k for 17" n ~1.2k for 15"

2033sw is a good panel bt do consider available counterparts from Dell and Benq in the similar price bracket..

if u r willing to include wat u get from smps n CTR to ur budget then u might also be able to afford 22" panel..
