blackheart- What do you plan to do with your pc- i mean what do you usually use your pc for? :bleh:zhopudey said:You are going about it the wrong way. First tell us your current rig specs. What all you need to upgrade? Whats your budget?
I second, third, ... totally.Chaos said:I said it earlier, say it again.... do not buy a 650i Ultra board. Get one on the P35 chipset. When one can get a Biostar TP35AD2 for 4500 bucks, why blow money on anything else.
I got a Pentium 2140 and that board yesterday. Its doing 3.2 GHz... thats a 100% overclock on stock cooler. Shall post details etc later.

Do you plan to overclock or run the new rig at stock?
Suggestions vary accordingly. :cool2:
Chaos said:Biggest reason... half of them die sooner or later. One third are dead on arrival. the chipset is buggy... doesnt feel as stable as an intel chipset under heavy overclocking. On my 680i, I must disable TM to overclock which is dangerous.
I can go on and on.... nvidia chipsets still need a lot to catch up with the refinement of intel chipsets. If you need SLI, then nvidia is the only option. If not, I'd take an intel chipset with eyes closed.
