Less than 10K Best Samsung mobile < Rs 10,000

Someone I know wants to buy a Samsung mobile from a shop (not online). Insisting on Samsung. I'm not familiar with Samsung budget phones. Any suggestions?

She's getting a J5 for Rs 11,000 - Rs 4500 (exchange old S3).

What about the A series?

Usage is lite : calls/whatsapp/skype/camera.

I think you are talking about the J5 (2015). It has only 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. Better to spend 2k more and go for J5 (2016).

Edit: Not sure whether the J5 2016 is available in offline stores yet. The J5 (2015) seems to be best Sammy handset in your budget in offline stores. It will also receive Marshmallow update which is a rarity in budget handsets.
