Bitcomet vs everything else

Whenever I run bitcomet everything else just stops working. As soon as it is launched MSN and yahoo messengers log out, no websites open. However download managers still work, so does other P2P.

How can I ensure that websites still open and messengers still remain online running along with bitcomet.

try reducing your upload speed a bit. my max is around 25-27. I set mine to 18. You can also try reducing your download speed.

I dunno which connection u use but for a 256Kb/s one (I) set UP/downto 20/20.It generally works for me.

u can also try U/D to 22/20 but itll slowdown ur browsing.

well..Bitcomet hogs the speed of ur connection big time...
ALthough i never faced the problem of messnegers looggin out....
but yes websites dont open up cause bit comet uses all the speed...

This used to happen to me on Hathway 25.6 / 6.5 kBps line.

Now on Exatt 32/32 kBps it doesnt happen at all.

Even at 30 kBps downloads.

Its an upload problem as what ive construed outta it all.

what's the version you using the latest should be 0.60, older versions had memory leakage problems.

also try to disable the dht network & chatting, see if problem persists.

Renegade one more thing to try is, this is from bitcomet forums
BitComet makes Windows run slow, how do I speed it up?

° Disable your IP Filter
Options > Preferences > Advanced > IP rules > "IP filter file: ipfilter.dat (compatible with eMule)" [UNCHECK]
(PeerGuardian 2 is a great alternative that's very easy on system resources.)

° Disable your AntiVirus software from actively monitoring Default Download Location. Just make sure you scan all completed downloads manually before opening them.

° Lower your Disk Cach size
Options > Preferences > Advanced > Disk Cache > "Minimum Disk Cache Size"
Options > Preferences > Advanced > Disk Cache > "Maximum Disk Cache Size"

° Set the following settings to Auto
Options > Preferences > Advanced > Connection > "Maximum Connection per task"
Options > Preferences > Advanced > Connection > "Connections to keep per task"
