hello, i have problem with booting process of my pc. I have WindowsXp as my os. There is no user except administrator and guest. I set default login as administrator. It always asks for administrator password. But there is not any password. On pressing 'Enter' key it boots normally. So tell me the way to skip password checking. And one more thing. I have lost my normal windowsXP booting screen. So tell me the way to bring it back.

START > RUN > type: control userpasswords2 and uncheck 'Users must use a username and password to enter the computer'. I think this shud help.

I am not a Windows guru but I found out that when you install XP and it asks you for a password after the user name during the setup process then I do not enter any password and I DO NOT click on the OK button either - at that time I hit the ENTER key and this seems to setup XP in a way that it allows me to start XP without a login WIndow. If I do not enter a password and click on the OK button during setup than XP will always stop for a login like you are getting.

^^ I have the same prob....windows was perfectly fine till the day i installed autopatcher...from then on, asks for password even if i dont have any..

@Genius : thanks a lot :)
