^well i'll wait for the price to get lower then
Intel hardly believes in price cuts... expect the price cuts only in the month of june when bulldozer processors will launch... and the price cuts will also depend on the performance of BD processors... If BD processors would perform better than current intel SB lineup then only intel will do some price cuts if BD wont perform better then they wont... :)

you guyz are realllly confusing me...but ui will wait for the Sandy-Bridge from intel. cuz i dnt wnt to upgrade my system for a year or two so..m waiting. :)
If you really wanna wait, then do so till June. June 8 is Bulldozer Launch Day, then we'll know whether to buy a Bulldozer or Sandy Bridge.

If Sandy Bridge, you can buy right away. If Bulldozer, the products should arrive in India within 2-3 weeks(early, as I see the trend nowadays)

^^ For low resolution gaming, you present config is good, if u OC the CPU, it will show it's last drop of potential too.

I think your processor is good enough for the waiting period. I am in the same boat as you and will wait for the Bulldozer CPUs to come out. Although better CPU's are always just around the corner, I thing it is worth waiting for such major releases.

From X-Bit

The new chips in maximum eight-core configurations are projected - by AMD's internal documents - to offer roughly 50% performance improvement over Phenom II-series microprocessors in multimedia applications.
