PS: The 780G + 3650 would've been still wiser. :p

hey, check if your front panel works. remember to set Front panel to AC 97 in bios. If it doesnt work, update your bios. I had that problem with mine :)

17 k for just that ??? Sure you didn't overpay on something ?

You should have got the 4000+ and taken a 9600 GT

Does the 9600Gt need a good power supply? Or will a generic 400W one do?

No it's okay.. Yes I know I've been overcharged a lil bit but also the increasing dollar prices pushed the cost up  ... if I had bought it last week or something, I'd have saved 300-400 :)

Amd 4000+ --- 2200/-

2GB DDRII 667---- 1900/-(DDR2 800 doesn't make sense for 200 FSB proccies )

Palit---9600GT --- 8700/-(double perf that of 8600GT or even more)

Hitachi 160GB----1800

Thats true but you can run tighter timings at FSB say 200 or 266 or whichever is applicable?
PS : I was running DDR200 2-2-2-5 for a loooong time with a DDR400 3-3-3 stock
