Bsnl Evdo worth taking?

Hi guys I live in pune to be precise in chinchwad(anyone near chinchwad here ).My bsnl dataone connection currrently is 500 plan but they have some main signal cable problem nd its not connecting at all now.
Airtel,Tata,sify,reliance no one ready to give connection here.
My only option is evdo till new exchange starts in my area.(they say it will take 6 mths)
Has anyone taken evdo? Howz was the experience?And I am a download freak though not on torrents.
Any help would be appreciated

Recently i have enrolled for BB from BSNl ....

Received lot of mixed feedback about EVDO ... even BSNL people are not sure .. they give different ans to same question every time ...:bleh: especially about speed and connectivity issues ....so picture is not that clear .. in pune ...

but speed and connectivity depends on your vicinity to the tower ...

good thing about evdo is u you get it almost immediately ....

to be on safer side .. opted for regular BB ....hyeah:
