Really appreciate everyone's input in here.

I actually went to the market today to check out first hand the price differences between 570/ 580.

The stupid dealers(lol) are stocking either lower end cards or 570 OC, and 580 is only order based.

I found out that the price difference between a 570 OC and 580 in MSI, is just mere few thousands.

I have decided to go with MSI Lightning GTX 580, and will be buying a 27" LED atleast for now to go with it.

My reasons are based on the fact that, down the road there will be new games that will be more better and powerful then the current Gen that are coming out.

Along with that, there is also The Z68/ Ivy and all the good stuff that gonna pop up pretty soon.

When I am investing an amount close to 26k+, I want it to be atleast Good for a few more years ;)

Thank you all for taking out your time and helping me out in this matter :D

Whether you buy 570 or 580 it is best to upgrade in at most one year from now, only buy what you can afford for a year n the 580 is less than 20 percent faster. It is like both 5850 n 5870 became outdated together. Unless you can afford a 30 k card every year skip the 580

Why dont you contact SMC... he is selling GTX570 for 20k... And i dont really think that you should go with GTX580... its performnace per dollar is worst... i have already explained that in the above post... rest is upto you... and yeah one more think if you are going with GTX 580 Lightning make sure that you have a very well ventilated case... coz GTX580 lightning would dissipate the heat in the cabby which would make the other components hot too... Do buy some fans along with the GTX580 Lightning... Just my 2 cents...

I would rather get a GTX 570 now and sell it and get it a GTX 670 after 8-10 months. That would be better than a GTX 580 for 2 years, leave alone a couple of years :P
