I have noticed this for a while. there is 1 more bug that I have found with img tags. If i use quick edit or quick reply, sometimes it just shows the links and not the image. When i just click on go to advance and edit, it shows the images properly. Dont know if anyone else noticed this.
 
^ Yep I think thats the issue, if you use Quick Edit it doesn't work occasionally.. in those cases go advanced and then make your changes.

Not seen anything odd with Quick Reply though.
