Laptops Building a mic inside a laptop

Is there a way to do this ? My trusty (old ?) dell 640 M is a great laptop, except that it lacks a built in microphone. I find it ***ing annoying to find the mic to connect it each time I want to talk to someone on Skype or yahoo.

so can this be done somehow ?
 
ummm.... i doubt it. if i'm not wrong then the mic system and the audio system are linked and the drivers required to run both are the same. even if you did manage to put in a mic somewhere in your laptop (the first question is where), you'll still not be able to use it since u don't have the drivers. but try concentrating on the first question -- where will you fit it in?
