Audio Bullet Proof 2.1 Speaker's

Hi All,

After a lot of searching and googling I had purchased z 2300 and because of problem's with the sub woofer as I mentioned in my other thread (http://www.techenclave.com/audio-zone/bought-logitech-z-2300-a-126149.html)
I had to return them and I got my money back now.

Now I am again in confusion on to which speakers to buy.
It is mainly for music and movies. Music quality and BASS should be equal to or greater than Z2300.:)
Other than the problem I had with my z2300 I actually liked them a lot.
I thought about AL MX5021, but they have their share of problems.
Please help me decide so that I can have a Bullet proof Purchase (I live far from city and it is very difficult for me to carry them for replacements) this time.
Cost is around 8,000 and I am using onboard audio which I will update later.
 
at 8 k ..nothing comes close to MX 5021 ..its infact bit less than 7k now :p

it might have its share of problems ..but i just bought them a month back and they work perfectly.

just test them at the shop itself before buying .:) ..
 
Btw talking abt the MX here, I did see that they've changed the crossover inside the satellites. I could confirm the fact when Sangram told me that this one was different from the older lot which actually had 2 inductors and 3 caps as against 1 inductor and 2 caps in the newer ones.

No idea as to what change it'd have brought to the sound though. Just my 2 cents. :)

Frankly the MX is probably the best choice for the budget. U can as well try the Edifier C3. Its cheaper by 3k I suppose.

To be precise it's available for 6.5k here in Bangalore :)
 
hmm in Mumbai MX 5021 costs 6.7-6.9 ~ keeps fluctuating ..

the Edifier C3 are available at Alfa for approx 5-.5.5 k

IMO it's worth spending the extra 1\1.5k and getting the MX.

@ OP ..- which city are you located in ?
 
MX 5021 also has problem in playing particular frequency. My friend replaced his MX 5021 due to phat sound in a specific song but prob continued even after replacement though same mp3 song played in other speakers with no such phat sound.

most of ur suggestions are in favour of Mx 5021.
I live in bangalore and every one familiar with bangalore will agree that electronic city is far from SP road (>24 Kms).
I will try to buy the MX 5021 itself, but in case of any problem I dont think Rashi is generous enough to give the money back. :)
Mean while plz keep ur suggestions flowing...

If distance is the issue, you can buy the same form kukreja elec (jayanagar or Race Course Road). Address below:
