Buying Iphone from US

Hi

My cousin is going to US and will be in Washington and New York area.

She wants to get an iPhone 4s / 5 factory unlocked and without contract.

Pls let me know any shops or websites from where she could get them.

If she is there for limited time then it is better she just visits an Apple store and gets an unlocked version of the phone. iPhone 5 she probably wont be able to get in Apple stores since that is discontinued now. 4S will be available.

4s is in 8 gb variant now and not worth buying from Apple store.

She's there for a month. Looking for other options.

So the idea of buying from the US is that its cheaper than buying in india. Why don't you tell her to go for a 5s. if she can afford a 5 then she can find whatever extra to get a 5s.

How does warranty work with Apple. International like Asus or not.

No International warranty (not at least in India) but people on our forum have claimed to get replacement for iPhones bought from outside the country.

Why is iphone so unique ?

people travel with laptops, they also travel with iphones.

This is one thing i thought Apple had already covered. As NOBODY offers intl warranty on smartphones.
