CPU/Mobo C2D temperatures

Since P5W-DH has passive cooling, the temps you mentioned seem perfectly alright.

Infact they are good cos the 975 is known to run pretty hot.

E6600@ 3240mhz

Cooling = Asus crux.

Idle 38-39C

Full load 55-56C

Mobo Idle - 38C

Mobo full load - 39-40C

Dont know why but my NB temps dont change much under load or not.

Maybe this massive Aluminium heatsink that intel has does good job.

E6600 @ 3590 Mhz (399x9 @ 1.46 vCore)

Idle -

AC Off - 40C

AC On - 31C

Load -

AC Off - 51C

AC On - 47C

Cooling : Water. As in siggie.

Mobo -

Idle - 32C

Load - 34C

E6600(oc 3.15 ghz)

idle-47 ac off
idle-44 ac on

load-53 ac off
load-50 ac on

could u tell me how to reduce these temp i m on air cooling and will stick with that

My mobo temp is now 51C! :S Both idle and loaded. Got alarms in the PC Probe. Any ways to reduce this? CPU temps are ok. The problem I think is that the chassis has only one 120mm intake fan. Will adding another fan or two help?

Dude, call me after 10am today... we'll fix your board temps, there a couple of quick-fixes that worked for me :D

I took out the cover on top of the MCH chipset. it helped reduce the mobo temperature by 2 degrees. Thanks Rio for this tip. The ICH chipset is very small and it is difficult to remove with the mobo in the chassis since there are quite a few small caps around. I will try this again. Another 120mm exhaust fan and an additional 80mm side fan would definitely help i believe.

Probably, I will need to do this Making P5WDH ready for Conroe: An Illustrative Guide - XtremeSystems Forums

Again pointed out by Rio! :)
