We have a decent sized community in India for sc2! Come and join us on our facebook page - Starcraft 2 India. We have 82 members as I type this and growing everyday - active members and we've also had 2 sponsored tournaments and a third one coming up next weekend, which will be streamed live with commentary! So tune in catch all the action or to just see what SC2 is all about!
We all know how popular CS and DoTA are in our country, but SC2 is definitely gaining steam in India with more tournaments and more players joining us!
Some facts for folks who may not know this:
- SC2 is now one of the games for this year's India qualifiers for the ESWC, WCG and ICGC, so you can now take part!
- SC2 has monthly tournaments in Korea which are televised 5 days a week! you can tune in to GOMTV.net to catch live games.
- MLG (Major League Gaming - majorleaguegaming.com) announced Starcraft 2 as their main title in 2011
- Dreamhack Summer 2011 had 2 stages dedicated to SC2 only along with 5 live streams with over 85,000 people tuning in to watch the grand finals ( besides the live audience of 1000 people)
- The NASL (North American Star League - nasl.tv) was launched specifically for SC2 in the US with a total prize pool of $500,000! :S
