Looking for a decent Camcorder..

Purpose : Making project videos to learn direction and filmmaking..

Budget : Not fixed, would prefer something around 15 k.. can increase if required..

Requirements :
  • Quality captures (HD if possible without increasing expense too much)
  • Good Low light performance..

Don't know which ones to look for at flipkart etc. Lots of options, but don't know anything about them.. Please help me figure this out guys..

On a sidenote, how does a DSLR perform in terms of video recording..?

Can extend budget to get one to fulfill my desire of learning photography as well if possible..
 
DSLR have slow AF in videos except for the Sony SLT cameras,they also give you a shallow depth of field,you can see in the nex-vg10 video in the youtube link which shows the shadow depth of field compared to camcorders with tiny sensor www.youtube.com/watch?v=18-A06N-Tyw .

The DSLR/SLT however records the lens motor noise quite easily,hence many people use mirroless cameras like panasonic Gh-2/Sony NEX series etc which have silent motor.

The panasonic GH-2 is better with regard to video.
 
saw the NEX series, panasonic GH-2 nt available online..

willl have to search it in market..

is the​
Panasonic HX-DC1 any good..

also hw good is the cannon 550D in regards to video..?
