Considering the various types of cameras available in the market, tailored to meet various types of use I think a template for photography equipment buying advise would be useful.in this section. Few pertinent questions that come to my mind are as follows;
1. Budget Range
2. What is your intended use? (eg: Portraits, Family/Functions, Trekking, Sports, Street, Landscape, Wildlife, Macro, Indoors, Wide angle etc)
3. Which model/brand if any are you planning to buy? Brand preferences if any.
4. Any specific feature that is required (eg: pocketable, weather sealing, articulated lcd, ovf/evf, grip, remote flash, touchscreen, wifi, gps, hdr, panorama, hd/slow-motion video etc)
5. What gear do you currently own (camera/lenses/accessories etc) ?
6. Buying Preferences (Online/International/Local Shop & New/Used/Refurbished)?
7. What accessories if any do you plan to purchase (Tripod/Flash/Filters/Memory Card/Bag etc)
8. Do you intend to upgrade/purchase additional lenses/accessories etc at a later time?
Please suggest any other questions to be included in the template so that we can request the mods to make this a sticky as in the other subforums.
