Can paid hosting be paired with free dottk domain?

I have a website which I want to host one some paid webhost.
During the signup process of the paid hosts, a domain name is required. Can this domain name be something like mysite.tk ? Or do I have to use a 'proper' paid domain name ?

Also if dot.tk can be used, in my account settings on dot.tk what should be the URL address of my site ?

Edit: I contacted bizzhost.com and they said this is possible . they also guided me pretty well about how to do this.
