Hey ppl....

I need to know the current prices for the Nvidia 7800 gt, 6800 gt & the Ati 1800xt...coz now when the Nvidia 7900 gt has hit the indian market...i think tht there wud be a price drop in these cards....

Plzz post the current prices for the cards if incase u know it!!

Thnxx

7800GT is useless to buy now.

Darky has one on sale for 16000.

7900GT cost's Rs.20000

Contact Mohit ;).

X1800XT, i dunno where is it available.

Actually the prices of the 7800 GT and 6800 GT havent fallen much. The 6800 GT is also hardly available and has been replaced with 6800 GS. The x1800xt 256 MB has seen a price drop recently but has yet to reach india. Check out the market section, both 7900 GT and 7600 GT are on sale, the prices are around the same as the prices for 7800 GT and 6800 GS repectively and they beat them by a considerable margin.

Hey ppl....my aunt is comin frm US...so m plannin to ask her to get the card from ther....so temme which is a better buy... ATI 1800 / nvidia 7600 or the Nvidia 7800 ??

( i presume most of u will say 7800 ...but i kinda like ATI...so plzz gimme sum reason for supporting 7800 also...plzz )!!

Get the 7900GT or if you can the X1900. Expect price drops as ATI is going to release their 80nm version with souped up clocks soon, aka the R580+.

I would prefer the ATI for a couple of reasons

1) Better physics performance - though its still preliminary.

2) Still feel their architecture is a true gem waiting to be discovered. Better drivers can bring in major performance enhancements.

3) Will fold very well when the F@H client for graphics cards is released :D

4) Avivo is very much worth the trouble of you encode movies

Raghu.

X1800XT among those its a no-brainer............. Else 7900gt is available at the same price point. But post your budget cause that will help us help you.
