Watched Cannibal Holocaust last night. Was suggested by bottle.

Its a sickening movie...I mean, I have seen Hostel 1-2, but this is something else :S . What adds to the "bad feeling" is that the movie is shown from a documentary point of view using hand held cameras which actually gives the movie a real and authentic look... the music adds to the experience. And the animal killings are real. The human killing looks real too(they probably used animal flesh to show that).

The movie is not story driven, its like a documentary and is very difficult to digest. I didnt enjoy it at all, its too twisted and sick... this from a person who actually liked Hostel.

This one leaves a bad feeling and I am still not over it completely.

Wouldnt recommend this at all.

I deleted it as soon as I finished seeing it. Was feeling slightly guilty of keeping that movie on my hard drive.

Honestly, the hype killed this movie for me.I jumped on straight to the gore points & quite frankly was not worth the hype.Only the turtle killing part was pretty gruesome.I guess I need to give it a re-run though.:P

I agree, it was really disturbing movie.

@Ronnie.. yeh, I'ave read about first two movies you mentioned... trying to get them on DVD, but no avail. I think I'll have to check other ways.

Yeah, heard about that.

Right now I cant stand something like holocaust.

Gore movies work coz they evoke curiosity, fear etc, but they shouldnt create a sick, guilty and hollow feeling...

Give me Hostel1-2, Texas Chainsaw massacre any day, but not something like Holocaust

Wikipedia also says!

He was arrested for killing but that was an asumption since the cast were under contract not to apprear on any media for 1 year after the movie is released, but when the producer/director were arrested they released the cast and made them appear on television, after which murder charges against them were dropped

haha well you did ask for horrifying stuff so i recommended something a bit above the usual (and useless) hollywood stuff. whats next on your watch list then ? :D

cannibal holocaust more of a dark humor+social satire. I actually liked that film.I dig that gritty feel and mocumentary making! the movie was ahead of it's time though, like Salo! and yeah, some Jap films are way more sick than this..
